PAWTUCKET – Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien and Central Falls Mayor James Diossa, along with the Pawtucket Foundation, city planners and other officials, hosted a public open house at The Isle Brewers Guild on Feb. 28 to share plans for the Conant Thread district, a 150-acre transit-oriented development planned around a new train station and bus hub opening in 2020.

The event featured a series of displays addressing different topics related to the new district, including vision, the multi-modal station, parking, safety, walking and biking, design and regulatory process. Attendees were encouraged to offer input and feedback on the plans for the Conant Thread district.

With 4 million square feet of pre-permitted development opportunities in the district and another 4 million square feet adjacent to the district in downtown Pawtucket, Conant Thread offers real estate with affordable development and rental costs providing opportunities for new and established businesses and residents, states a release.
